Brokeback Mountain

I Just finished an essay I had to do for class.
The essay was about one of my favourite movies: Brokeback Mountain.
Here is the essay question:
What differences of signification, if any, are introduced by the visual style of the adaptation relative to the meaning(s) of the text(s) it is based on? In other words, to what extent have the visual choices made in the adaptation modified and/or enhanced the meaning(s) of the original text(s)?

I argued that the meaning of the film was enhanced by the image, acting and music.

To be honest I haven't seen this film. I have this same film poster in a postcard that I bought in a packet of different postcards at the MOMA in New York. The postcards were different film posters from different times. This postcard was one of my favourite ones. I can't wait to see this film.

HISTORY OF ART

I bought this t-shirt in the MOMA in New York. It represents the different characteristics of some very famous artists. I particularly like Pollock's representation.

As I showed you last week, my favourite photo in America's Next top Model was the one with the model and the sheep.

This week this same model posed in this amazing photo. The contestants had to pose under different types of shadow

I took this picture in a apple tree field near Srinagar(Kashmir) , India. I was in India last december with my family.
Our first destination was Delhi, people were very welcoming and really great. On the third day we left for Srinagar, the capital of Kashmir. Kashmir is in the north of India and it's an incredible place.
When we went to the airport in Delhi to go to Srinagar and all security things started, I was beginning to feel a little strange.
When I got there and started to look outside when we were in the car I felt like a complete outsider. How people were dressed, how there were few women on the streets, how as we passed everyone looked at us like if we didn't belong.
Being in Srinagar a place where 80% of the population were muslim was really a different thing for me. To be honest I didn't like it and I didn't want to be there.
Another thing was, I didn't know how difficult the situation in Kashmir was. It was exttremly dengerous and my Dad took us there with a lot of risk. I was mad at first but now I'm really greatfull tp my dad and to say that I've been to Kashmir. I would go back NOW.
It's a great place that changed my perception of a lot of things.

Little Things

ETERnal sunSHINE of THe sPOTless MIND

I'm going to talk about a little about one of my favourite films called: Eternal sunshine of the Spotless mind. The movie stars Kate Winslet, Jim Carry, Mark Ruffalo, Kirsten Dunst, Elijah Wood and Tom Wilkinson. The Movie was released in 2004.
The film has a very original and unusual theme. It deals with the broken relationship of two lovers. These two lovers are Joel (Jim Carry) and Clementine (Kate Winslet). Most of the movie takes place inside of Joel’s mind, while his mind is being erased of all memories of Clementine. While the technicians are working with Joel’s mind when he is asleep, Clementine and him try to avoid them and hide in all possible memories. They both fight to be together and they try to find a way of remembering each other.
The movie is awkwardly presented and the first time you watch it, you will not have any idea of what is going on. As you watch it you are going to realize that the ways images are presented makes you want to be part of the love Joel and Clementine have. (Although sometimes it isn’t that strong)
I’ll recommend you to watch the movie more than once and appreciate the uniqueness of every scene.
